Remote control and command of the electrical power dispatching process in Rosiori

The old remote control device viewed the state of the switching elements on a synophtical panel.

This application enhances the efficiency of the remote control process and adds functionality for new capabilities. This is achieved by:

    1. Real-time supervision and display on a color monitor of the remote controlled switching devices state and their fault condition.
    2. Display, on the same monitor, of the position of manually operated switching devices - position that is communicated by the operators from the stations via phone.
    3. Computer operated modification of the state for all remote controlled switching devices.
    4. Automatical update of the event log.
    5. Display, at dispatcher request, of the traffic conditions issued from a voltage cut.
    6. Display, at request, of the dangerous places for the catenary work-team.
    7. Display, at request, useful phone numbers
    8. Automatical processing of the statistical data events of the power process.
    9. Automatical record and on-request replay the dispatcher's operative phone conversation (with the supervising stuff, the maintenance teams, the traffic personnel etc.)
    10. Issuing a specific sound (alert) when a state of the system changes its value.
    11. Creating the functionality for future connection with the Romanian Railways Data Transmission Network

This application works on a Pentium based computer with QNX 4.24 operating system, and Photon microGUI as a graphical interface .

The entire application was developed with Watcom C/C++ 10.6 and Photon Application Builder
